Promotional rates and special offers are not available over the Christmas period or on Bank Holidays. 
We reserve the right to change our rates without prior notice.
Christmas and New Year rentals - 2 weeks minimum hire charge. 
Easter rentals- 1 week minimum hire charge.

EXTRA COST FOR FUEL.   " Pick up Full, Return Full "
All rental cars are supplied with a full tank of fuel, the cost is charged to your rental invoice,
please return the car with a full tank of fuel,a full reimbursement is only paid for a full tank of fuel. 
If the fuel tank is not returned full,no reimbursement is paid for petrol left in the fuel tank on return.
There are BP petrol stations based 50 yards from both Gatwick North and South Terminals.
ALL CARS USE UNLEADED PETROL ONLY.

PAYMENT.

We accept payment by the following bank debit or credit cards: 
Bank charge cards, Visa, MasterCard, Delta, Switch, Maestro, Electron, charged via a secure GPRS system. 
All insurance excess deposits must be secured by a bank card or credit card only

EXTENDED RENTAL.
Rental is calculated on a daily rental period of 24 hours, extra days are charged at Pro rata. 
Rental beyond the originally agreed date and time must be by arrangement.
Extra hire hours will be charged at £5.00GB Pounds per hour,
any extension over 3 hours, an extra day hire is charged at pro rata. All rates are GB Pounds Sterling.
we reserve the right to change our rates without prior notice.

ALL RENTALS ARE FROM GATWICK AIRPORT,AND MUST BE RETURNED TO GATWICK AIRPORT AREA.
We do not collect cars from any other area or airport,
our car delivery and collection service is only available from Gatwick Airport,Crawley or Horley area,
all cars must be returned to the Gatwick Airport area only.
Any vehicle left at any other area is passed to a Car Collection Company.
(Minimum Collection Charge £250.00 pounds sterling)

VEHICLES MUST NOT BE TAKEN OUT OF MAINLAND UNITED KINGDOM.
RENTAL VEHICLES ARE INSURED FOR U.K. MAINLAND ONLY.
Our cars have insurance cover for rentals within England, Scotland and Wales only.
Please note our vehicles are not available for hire use in Continental Europe or Ireland.

ADDITIONAL DRIVER INSURANCE COVER CHARGE,
Cost £2.00 GB Pounds per day, minimum charge £6.00 GB Pounds, maximum charge £20.00 GB Pounds.

VERY IMPORTANT. 
Drivers, before you leave, always make sure you have your valid driving licence with you,
we are not permitted by our insurance company to accept photocopies or out of date licences.
IT MUST BE THE REAL THING.

FREE DELIVERY AND COLLECTION DURING OFFICE HOURS. 
OUR OFFICE HOURS ARE,am 07.00 hours until pm 19.00 hours. Open 7 days a week.
We charge an out of office hours surcharge of £35.00 GBP for delivery or collection until 10.00pm.
After 10.00pm (22.00 hours) we are closed until 07.00am the next day.

" WE DELIVER "
We meet you from your flight at Gatwick Airport, North or South Terminal,
we monitor your flight via London Gatwick web pages, to meet you at your incoming terminal,
greeting you at the arrivals hall information desk, where we quickly complete the hire formalities,
and take you to your car waiting in the adjacent parking area.
Car rental with no shuttle bus transfer, just get into your hire car and drive.

" WE COLLECT "
Our meeting point on your return is the Gatwick Airport, North or South Terminal BP petrol stations,
with easy access to your flight/ rail/ coach / taxi departure terminal check-in.

PLEASE NOTE.
Gatwick Airport car park fees are now nearly £4.00 pounds per hour,to keep costs to a minimum,
we will deliver your car to your Gatwick Terminal 30 minutes after your flight has landed,
to enable you to depart the car park within 30 minutes.(subject to Gatwick baggage reclaim delays)
It takes about 45 minutes to clear Gatwick Customs & baggage hall,before entering the main arrival hall. 

All Gatwick car parking fees are payable by the hirer,
minimum parking charges are = £4.20 GB Pounds per 1 hour.
Vehicles left at Gatwick Airport are by arrangement only.

FLIGHT DELAYS. 
Don't worry, we monitor all incoming flight arrivals via the internet,
(scheduled or confirmed) and will be aware of any delay.
We will have information on the progress of your flight into Gatwick Airport,
and will meet you as planned at your incoming terminal.
CHILDSEATS.
The law in the United Kingdom concerning children travelling in a motor vehicle,
is that all children must be seated in a suitable size child restraint. 
Official guidelines which came into effect Sept 2006,
requires youngsters up to the age of 12 to use a booster seat, but only if they stand less than 135cm tall.
WE RENT:
Rear facing Graco infant seat suitable for infant up to 10kgs.
Forward facing Britax Freeway Child seats suitable weight  9kgs to 18kgs. 
Forward facing Little Shield Traveller Junior seats, suitable weight  15kgs to 36kgs. 
Graco Junior booster cushion suitable weight 15kgs to 36kgs. 
Infant seat, Child seat or Junior seat cost only £14.00 GB Pounds per hire period. 
Junior booster cushion are only £4.00 GB Pounds per hire period.

AUTO INSURANCE COVER.
All vehicles have comprehensive insurance covered by LIVERPOOL VICTORIA MOTOR POLICIES.
The comprehensive insurance includes public liability,
and unlimited indemnity in respect of death of/or bodily injury to passengers. 
The Comprehensive Vehicle Cover also includes:-

1.Loss or Damage to our vehicle or another vehicle you may hit.
2.Theft and Fire of the vehicle or other property damaged by fire caused by our vehicle.  
3.Unlimited Third Party Injury and Passenger Liability cover,
including other persons you may injury using our vehicle.
4.Third Party property damage up to £5m sterling, any other vehicle or property you hit and damage.
5.Legal Liability of Passengers.
6.Pleasure and Business Use by Hirer.

The above is all part of our comprehensive insurance coverage.
Please note, that in the event of an accident, no UK insurance company covers injury to drivers. 
If an injury is caused to the driver by another vehicle hitting you,
then our vehicle driver could make a claim from the other persons insurance company.
PLEASE NOTE.
All vehicles are insured for the appropriate maximum number of seat belted passengers,
please ensure the choosen vehicle seating is suitable for your party size.

STANDARD INSURANCE COVER FOR DRIVERS FROM 25 UP TO 75 YEARS.
There are no Collision Damage Waiver or Hidden Extra Charges.
The Comprehensive Liability Insurance and car theft protection is subject to a maximum loss or damage,
non waiver Insurance Excess Liability (deductible deposit) of £175.00 GB pounds sterling for all cars. 
All liability deposits are fully refundable at rental end, provided the vehicle is returned undamaged.
Please note: We are not party to any of the credit card companies insurance liability agreements.
In case of theft, insurance cover is not provided for luggage or personal contents left in the vehicle.

Light damage to our vehicle.
The estimated amount of any vehicle damage costs are fairly accessed on your return to Gatwick Airport,
this amount will be deducted from your excess liability deposit,
the residual balance due to you, will be immediately refunded to your credit card account. 

Travel outside of the United Kingdom.
We do not offer cover for customers to take vehicles outside of Mainland Britain,
all our vehicle rentals are for use in the United Kingdom only.

INSURANCE IDENTIFICATION.
At the time of hire additional identification will be required other than a drivers licence. 
For overseas residents,this must be a valid passport and credit card.
Driving licenses, Passports and Credit Cards must be viewed and validated before hire commences.
Photocopies or faxed driving licenses are not acceptable for insurance cover under any circumstances.
Endorsed licences will be considered individually.
Only persons insurance approved at the start of the rental period are permitted to drive the vehicle.

ADDITIONAL DRIVER INSURANCE COVER CHARGE,
£2.00 GB Pounds per day, minimum charge £6.00 GB Pounds, maximum charge £20.00 GB Pounds.

DRIVING LICENCES ACCEPTED.
The following driving licences are all acceptable to drive in the United Kingdom.
Canadian / U.S.A. / South African / Australian / N.Zealand / European licenses.
All EEC Licences with the EU symbol are also acceptable without an International licence.
Foreign Driving Licence Insurance Rules.
An International Driver’s License is required if the national driver’s license is not in Roman alphabet
(i.e. Arabic, Greek, Russian or Chinese). 
All licenses issued in a language other than English,must be accompanied by a International Drivers Permit.
We must be able to read and understand the licence presented and establish it is valid. 
We will not accept under any circumstances,an International Drivers Permit on it's own,
without original domestic valid driving licence issued from the International Drivers Permit country. 
International licence permits are intended for the purpose of translation,
the onus is on the Renter to provide a translation to confirm all our Insurance Risk questions. 
 
UK license holders must present both the photocard and its paper counterpart at the time of rental.

Driving Experience.
All drivers must have held a full driving licence for a minimum of 2 years or more. 
We cannot supply to drivers with provisional licences or held a full licence for less than 2 years.

THE FOLLOWING OCCUPATIONS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR DRIVER INSURANCE COVER.
Persons involved in or connected with:- 
entertainment professions, musical groups and their embers, theatre, film, television, professional sport, 
horse or greyhound racing, gambling, market traders, general dealers, scrap merchants, hawkers.

Hire Restrictions.
Driving License Endorsements.
Whilst we are able to hire to customers with some endorsements on their license,
there are certain endorsements, which, for insurance reasons restrict our ability to supply a vehicle. 
We can supply to customers with up to 6 points for speeding and also some road traffic offences. 
We cannot supply to anyone with a DR, IN or BA code issued within the last five years, 
also if you have a DD or CD code or any other offence code you are unsure about, 
please contact us for clarification.

Only the customer,or other persons approved by HIREDRIVE SERVICES,
at the commencement of rental are permitted to drive the vehicle.

UK LICENCE HOLDERS PLEASE NOTE: 
Drivers who have the new UK two part photographic drivers licence.
If you have a modern two part UK licence,
you must bring along your original paper licence as well as the photocard.  
Only both parts of this licence will be an acceptable licence to drive our vehicles.
Failure to present both parts is not acceptable by our insurance company
as a complete valid licence and will be refused consideration as a driver. 

RENTAL HIRE.
On commencement of hire we require, full payment of hire charges,
and the deductible insurance excess liability deposit secured by credit card only.
The hirer is liable for the liability excess for each,
and every insurance accident bodywork damage occurred to the vehicle.
The hirer is also responsible for other loss or damage sustained to the vehicle.
Other damage includes: Windscreen or glass,  mirrors, CD tuners, aerials, wheels and tyres, 
wheel trims, interior or exterior trims, accessories, lost coded car keys, under floor damage.
Interior damage or neglect is charged for at full cost.
Vehicle parts damaged and replaced prior to rental car return,
must be the original makers named manufacturer factory fitted parts only.

RESERVATIONS.
Reservations will only be confirmed when supported with your credit card details,
and upon our receipt of a non-refundable booking deposit of £50 GB Pounds.
You also understand that in sending the Reservation Form,
a non-refundable booking deposit of £50.00 GB Pounds will be charged to your credit card,
in the event that you cancel your reservation or fail take delivery of the vehicle for any reason.

The rental balance, plus the £175 Pounds insurance excess deposit is payable on car delivery.
Rentals are charged from the dates reserved, no reimbursement is made for flight delays etc.
(Be assured that we will be holding your car.)

You also understand that full payment of all rental charges,
will be charged to your credit card as per the cancellation policy. 

You declare that the information entered on the Reservation Form is,
to the best of your knowledge and belief correct in every detail,
and this declaration together with the rental agreement, form the basis of the contract of insurance.
VERY IMPORTANT. 
We reminded you of the need to disclose any facts,
which the insurance company would take into account, in the assessment and acceptance of this form. 
Failure to disclose all relevant facts may invalidate this insurance,
or may result in the policy not operating fully.

It is an offence under the United Kingdom Road Traffic Acts,
to make a false statement or withhold any information to obtain a certificate of insurance cover

CANCELLATION POLICY.
In the event of Cancellation,
Payment or Reservation Deposits are NOT REFUNDABLE.
The cancellation policy is:-

50% of the rental reservation period is charged,
if cancelled within the last 7 days prior to arrival.

75% of the rental reservation period is charged,
if cancelled within the last 5 days prior to arrival.

100% of the rental reservation period is charged,
if cancelled within the last 3 days prior to arrival.

The policy also applies if you fail take delivery of the reserved vehicle
for any reason,or fail to turn up,or are unable to present a valid drivers licence. 
(Be assured that we will be holding your reserved car.)

Any reservation cancellation must be made in writing,
sent directly to our listed email or postal address,
within seven working days from the date of making your original reservation.
Please note that no refunds will be made for vehicles on hire and returned early.

NO OFF ROAD DRIVING IS PERMITTED. 
All cars are thoroughly checked and valeted prior to rental,
if a car is returned in a very dirty interior or exterior condition, 
an additional cleaning charge of £45.00 will be levied. 
NO SMOKING UK HEALTH & SAFETY LAW. 
It is now an offence to smoke or knowingly permit persons smoking in rental cars,
drivers can now be issued with £50 GB Pounds fine penalties from the lawful authorities.
We operate a NO SMOKING AND NO PETS policy in all our vehicles.
PLEASE DO NOT SMOKE OR ALLOW PETS IN OUR CARS.
Car renters will be charged a £45.00 pounds full interior valet surcharge,
if the vehicle is returned with the interior in a unrentable smoky or pet soiled condition.
Excessive staining or internal damage will be charged for at the supplier’s rates.

Towing: No driver is permitted to use the vehicle for towing.


ACCIDENT OR BREAKDOWN.
All our modern late model cars are in excellent condition,serviced and maintained to the highest standard.
Should you have an unfortunate problem, cars have Royal Automobile Club (RAC)24hr roadside breakdown cover.
Please note: Where R.A.C.Fleet Breakdown cover is used,a charge is made for Driver Error.
ie.Lost coded car keys,Run Out of Fuel,Damaged or Punctured Tyres,Wheel change,Leaving Lights On(flat battery). 
(The minimum driver error call out charge for the above list is £100.00 GBP Sterling).
In any occurrence of accident or breakdown, where the car was no longer roadworthy or repairable,
our liability will be limited to refund of hire charges only.

PAYMENT OF PARKING,SPEEDING OR LONDON CONGESTION CHARGE FINES.
The hirer/driver of the car is liable for all speeding and parking fines incurred during the hire period. 
The person named on the rental agreement is required to inform Gatwick Hiredrive upon return of the car, 
of any fines or parking tickets issued whilst the car was being used by the renter.

The car driver is liable for any daily London congestion charges incurred during the period of hire. 
The driver is also liable for any additional fines or penalty charge notices received,
for failing to pay parking or congestion charges during the hire period.

We reserve the right to settle directly with the lawful issuing authority,
all parking fines or London Congestion Charge infringements issued during your rental period.
The fine will be CHARGED to your credit card, plus an administration charge of £10.00 pounds sterling. 
This will actually save customers a substantial amount of money,because,if we follow the standard route, 
by the time it reaches the hirer/driver responsible for the infringement fine, 
in most cases,the Enforcement Notice Fine will have doubled within 14 days.

Anyone who intends to challenge a motoring offence through the normal channels,
should inform us immediately upon your receipt of any such notice,
thereafter we will not settle any Enforcement Notice on your behalf.
LONDON CONGESTION CHARGES.
When travelling into Central London you will be liable for the London conjestion charge of £8 per day.  
The responsibility for purchasing permits for Central London travel is on the individual driver,
who is liable for any penalties and an admin charges if applicable.

ALCOHOL DRINK & DRUGS.
GATWICK HIREDRIVE,
will not be held responsible for any individual driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs,
causing wilful damage, road driving without due care and attention or dangerous driving.
The client will indemnify GATWICK HIREDRIVE against this in respect of all claims.

The hirer is liable for loss of hire charges if damage is caused as a 
result of the following motoring offences.
1. dangerous or careless driving offences.
2. driving whilst under the influence of alcohol drink or drugs. 

Accidents resulting in the Hirer being charged by the police or convicted,
whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs,
will not be directly covered by the insurance liability detailed above.
In this event,the hirer is liable for all charges for any damage or theft howsoever caused.
In the event that the renter has behaved recklessly or negligently, 
or driven under the influence of drugs or alcohol,you may be liable for the full cost.  

Whilst every effort is made to supply the vehicle booked,we reserve the right to supply an alternative.
We will endeavour to provide your exact choice car or vehicle group required, 
however at busy times or for reasons beyond our control, 
it may be necessay to provide a similar or alternative vehicle or car group. i.e. your 2nd choice car. 
Gatwick Hiredrive reserve the right to change vehicle rates without notice,
and to refuse rental without giving a disclosing reason.

All hires are subject to the standard terms and conditions appearing 
on the hire Agreement and supplemented herein.

THE RIGHT IS RESERVED TO ALTER OUR TARIFF WITHOUT NOTICE.
